Pre-configured Service Water Heating Systems
Calculation of Design Energy Cost/Energy Cost Budget and Calculation of the Proposed/Baseline Building Performance.
Energy Simulator provides pre-configured Service Water Heating systems that can be used for the Calculation of Design Energy Cost/Energy Cost Budget and Calculation of the Proposed/Baseline Building Performance that comply with the ASHRAE 90.1 standard’s Section 11.3 and Appendix G.3.1 requirements. The following table lists all the available pre-configured Service Water Heating systems and information regarding their fuel type.
Available SWH Systems | Fuel |
Service Water Heating Stand-Alone Electric | Electric |
Service Water Heating Stand-Alone Natural Gas | Natural gas heating coil |
Tip: The budget
building and baseline buildings can be created at simulation time using the
controls found on the Calculate tab of the
Simulation dialog box
Calculate tab. There is also and
option to create baseline buildings (ASHRAE 90.1 - 2004 and 2007 baseline
buildings) on the pop-up menu associated with the
Building object
in the
Energy Simulator Project Tree dialog.
Tip:
Pre-configured HVAC systems must be added to your building design using the HVAC
Manager dialog options and settings.
Note: Energy Simulator also provides
pre-configured HVAC
systems for the Calculation of Design Energy Cost/Energy Cost Budget and
Calculation of the Proposed/Baseline Building Performance.
